A New Year Message from the President

December 27, 2021

Patricia BilottoSeason’s greetings! With the holidays upon us, we hope you and your family are safe and in happy holiday spirits!

December is often a time for reflection, celebration and looking forward to the year ahead! With all that we have been through so much over the past 20+ months, we must celebrate what we’ve accomplished while heading toward brighter days.

While this year may not have exactly gone as originally planned, PWC CT worked diligently to provide relevant programming and we hope you had the chance to join one of our programs offered this year. We are excited about the rest of our scheduled events and look forward to being together soon. Although we had hoped to do the January 2022 program in person, the safety of our members and guests remains paramount. Therefore, it will be offered virtually. Our awards program has been postponed until we can be in person – which we hope will be in March.

Two initiatives we are excited about:
• Our scholarship program is about to kick off January 1 with applications due March 16.
• Our mentorship program is in full swing with 10 mentees so far.

Volunteering your time, skills, and resources is one of the most powerful ways to make a difference…to help others, and to enhance your own sense of wellbeing. PWC CT has a range of incredible opportunities for all AEC professionals, from those brand new to the industry to seasoned senior professionals! Feel free to reach out to me or any of our board or committee chairs if you are interested in joining one of our committees.

We are truly grateful for YOUR help in fulfilling our mission. Thank you to our PWC-Connecticut board, committees, members, friends, and sponsors who have made us what we are today. Your continued support allows us to provide scholarship and mentorship programs to educate, support, and promote our future AEC leaders.

On behalf of the PWC-CT Board, may your time with family and friends this holiday season be merry and bright. . . Wishing you all good health, happiness and prosperity in the new year!

Patty Bilotto, CPSM
President, PWC CT Chapter
