December 30, 2020
2020 has been challenging for all of us – a year that will be unlike any that we have ever encountered. In times of struggle, having a resilient spirit becomes an asset that seems to transform challenges into opportunities for growth.
As we have faced each challenge this year, we have adapted and overcome obstacles unimaginable. While our members have new needs, PWC CT continues to pivot and respond to these needs with relevant programming solutions.
To continue providing high-quality programming, we learned to be more technologically savvy with video conferencing, virtual programming along with sound, lighting, backgrounds to use (or not), etc., and all that comes with video editing. The success of each program provides us with the knowledge to offer future events, both virtually and ultimately in-person.
As our PWC CT tradition continues, we use all profits from our events to support the young women and men who are the future of our industry. This past Spring, we provided $50,000 in scholarships in the form of (15) individual $3,000 scholarships to students pursuing their A/E/C degrees and a separate $5,000 donation to CT ACE Mentor Program. Our PWC CT Mentorship Program remains strong with 13 mentees enrolled.
We are grateful for YOUR help in fulfilling our mission. Thank you to our PWC CT board, committees, members, friends, and sponsors who have made us what we are today.
On behalf of the board, may the new year bring new happiness, new goals, new achievements, and a lot of new inspirations in your life. Wishing you all good health and a brighter new year.
