End of the Year Message from Chapter President Patty Bilotto

June 21, 2021

2020/2021 End of Year President's Message

It has been my privilege to serve on the PWC CT board for many years, most recently as chapter president. The experience has been exciting, challenging, and a lot of hard work. What makes it so rewarding is to see the successes of our chapter committees, the Board and all our members and greater community who really are the heart and soul of this organization. Words cannot express my gratitude to all of you for your support. This past year has been difficult in many ways, but we have risen to the challenge.

Working together we were able to:

• Host six (6) well-attended programs with stellar panelists along with an in person social this past week that was very well received!
• Award sixteen (16) $3,000 scholarships plus a $5,000 donation to ACE Mentor of CT.
• Honor our 2021 Woman of Achievement, Rising Star, Mentor of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
• Launch an updated website . . .with special thanks to our communications committee for keeping us all informed via emails, social media, etc.

I would like to announce the 2021/2022 PWC CT Board beginning July 1:

President – Patty Bilotto, van Zelm Engineers
Vice President – Laurann Asklof, Shipman & Goodwin
Treasurer – Carolyn Kurth, CohnReznick

Kyma Ganzer, LaRosa Building Group
Choity Khan, Robinson + Cole (New)
Jennifer Marks, BL Companies

Special thanks are due to our outgoing board and committee chairs, Beccah Eldridge of Shepley Bulfinch, Tracy Caisse of SLAM Collaborative and Nichole Petersen of Flow Tech, Inc., for all your hard work to make PWC CT the vibrant organization that it is!

I would like to encourage each one of you to get involved with PWC-CT in any way that you can. This organization can only be as great as its members and those willing to be involved.

As we gear up for the new season, please be on the lookout for the Sponsorship Save the Date slated for July 6 with advanced responses scheduled for July 19.

Our program dates for the upcoming season are already posted on our website. Our first in person program will be on Tuesday, September 28th at the Sheraton Hartford South in Rocky Hill. The topic will be Southern New England Higher Education.

We look forward to meeting the challenges and opportunities of 2021 together…see you in September!

Patricia Bilotto
