PWC CT Awards Four Women for Outstanding Contributions to AEC Industry

On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, the Professional Women in Construction Connecticut Chapter (PWC CT) will award four women with professional achievement awards for their outstanding contributions to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (A/E/C) Industry. The “AEC Industry Women… In Her Words” virtual program is sure to draw a crowd of attendees showing their support for the award winners, and to hear from the stellar presentation panel of AEC women.


2021 Woman of Achievement

Catherine Ellithrope, Associate Principal at the S/L/A/M Collaborative will be honored with the prestigious Women of Achievement Award. Catherine has been an active member in the A/E/C Industry, providing expertise in both public education and corporate architecture since 1994. Recipients of this award have at least 15 years of experience in the industry, have demonstrably achieved excellence in their field, are dedicated to the advancement of women in the A/E/C field, and serve as a good role model.


2021 PWC CT Rising Star

Jackie Quesada, LEED AP, National Healthcare Industry Coordinator at Whiting-Turner, will proudly accept the Rising Star Award. With her ambition and hard work Jackie has quickly reached a national role where she works directly with management and project leaders across the country. This award honors exceptional women who are recognized by their colleagues, mentors and peers as future leaders in the A/E/C industry.


Taylor Gladding PWC CT Excellence in Mentoring Recipient
The Excellence in Mentoring Award will be given to Taylor Gladding, Project Manager for Gilbane Building Co. for her work and dedication to promoting mentorship within the A/E/C industry. Taylor has championed Gilbane’s Connecticut office summer internship program and helped implement student engagement programs on her multiple successful k-12 projects.


Roxanne Perugino PWC CT Volunteer of the Year
Roxanne Perugino, LEED AP ID & C, Senior Project Planner for STV | DPM, Inc., will be honored as Outstanding Volunteer of the Year for her volunteerism and support of the Chapter. Roxanne is a past president of PWC CT and currently serves on the Scholarship Committee. She also serves the Advisory Board for Construction Management at Central CT State University.

Following the awards ceremony, a multi-generational, all-women panel will enlighten the audience about how women are reshaping the landscape and culture of the A/E/C Industry. Discussion topics include education, inspiration, mentoring, lessons learned and future goals.
